Materials and Structure

The film is built on optical grade PET film, 1 ply at 12.0 mil. Optical grade PET is used for clarity: at 90% VLT the layer stays visually neutral instead of hazy, and the clear color leaves the original tone of the glass unchanged. A strong adhesive bonds the film to the glass surface and provides the security protect behaviour of a safety film by holding fragments together once a pane breaks.

Installation follows standard film practice with a hot air gun, installation squeegees, a slip solution sprayer, and a CNC film cutting plotter running DAP cutting software.
