2. Coupler Structure and Interface Standards
Type D: Female camlock socket x female pipe thread. The camlock end incorporates two pivoting cam arms, an internal replaceable gasket and a through-flow passage; the opposite end connects to a male-threaded pipe, valve or equipment port.
Cam-and-Groove References: A-A-59326 (formerly MIL-C-27487), with EN 14420-7 / DIN 2828 applicable to corresponding interface designs. The female socket engages a matching male adapter groove.

Both cam levers engage the male adapter's annular groove and draw its face against the female coupler gasket. Socket geometry, cam travel, pivot alignment and arm engagement support repeatable operation. A Type DP male dust plug protects the female socket when disconnected.
6. Replaceable Gasket and Operating Conditions
Internal Gasket Options: NBR (Buna-N), EPDM, FKM and silicone for compatible service media and temperature ranges.
A replaceable face gasket sits in the female socket and contacts the mating male adapter. The female pipe-thread joint uses its own compatible thread-sealing method.
Working pressure and temperature depend on brass grade, size, gasket, cam hardware, thread connection, mating adapter and transferred fluid.
