PVA 1799 is a fully hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol designed for textile warp sizing. It provides high film hardness, abrasion resistance, and low ash to prevent fabric staining. It dissolves easily in hot water, enabling efficient desizing after weaving.

PVA is manufactured by alcoholysis of polyvinyl acetate (PVAc). It is a water-soluble polymer in white powder/flake form with excellent film-forming property and strong adhesion.
Textile warp sizing for cotton and polyester yarns, especially for high-speed air jet looms. Also used in embroidery water-soluble backing paper and non-woven fabric binder.
